Kephaloidion-Herakleia, c. 405-396 BC. Litra (Silver, 12mm, 0.64 g 11). [ΕΚ] ΚΕΦΑΛΟ[Ι]ΔΙΤΑΝ Head of youthful Herakles to right, wearing lionskin headdress. Rev. ΗΡΑΚΛΕ-ΩΤΑΝ Bull butting to right. Jenkins, Coinages pl. IX, 3. Rare. A coin of beautiful Classical style. Struck on an oblong flan and with surfaces somewhat rough from corrosion, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
