An epigraphic obverse with handsome portraits of Grand Duke Friedrich I and his wife Princess Louise of Prussia (Daughter of Kaiser Wilhelm I); Reverse: A detailed view of the city of Baden-Baden with the Iffezheim racetrack in the foreground and the eastern foothills of the Black Forest in the background. Above is the inscription "CIVITAS AURELIA AQUENSIS", the ancient Roman name of the town, the dates 1858/1883 in exergue. Lovely pearl gray patina highlights the details. EXTREMELY FINE.
