GERMANY. Capture of Paris Bronze Medal, 1914.
30.3 mm. Pierced as made. No ribbon. Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower, inscription "EINZUG D. DEUTSCHEN TRUPPEN IN PASIS"; Reverse: Iron cross with inscription, "NACH AUSSEN ENTSCHLOSSEN/ NACH INNEN GESCHLOSSEN". Much RARER than the scarce 53 mm version. Said by our consignor that it was intended to be an award medal issued to the occupying troops but the event never occurred. EXTREMELY FINE.
