Sassanian Seal. A choice Sassanian seal, c. 224 – 651 AD. It is 1-1/4" in diameter and depicts a seated warrior holding a spear and resting against his shield. Carved from translucent carnelian and perforated vertically for suspension. Expected wear from usage. Ex Oriental Antiques & Art Gallery.
