Extremely rare, strong portrait on large flan and detailed reverse composition; riverine patina with some minor corrosions. Probably the best specimen known, extremely fine - good extremely fine.
The sestertius commemorates the self-proclamation of Galba as emperor took place in Clunia, that became, in this occasion, a Roman colony with the name of Sulpicia. Galba ruled Spain Tarraconensis from 61 AD and took refuge in Clunia during the revolt against Nero. He was in this town when he was aware of the Nero's death and his appointment as emperor by the legionaries.
