BRITISH COINS, Henry VI (first reign, 1422-1461), Groat, Calais mint, annulet issue (1422-1430) muled with early rosette mascle issue (1430-1431), facing crowned bust in tressure with fleurs on cusps, annulet either side of neck, initial mark incurved pierced cross, rev long cross patteé, trefoil of pellets in each inner angle, no annulets, rosettes in legend, initial mark plain cross, 3.80g (N 1427/1446; S 1837/1859). Good very fine, toned and unusual.
