BRITISH COINS, Edward IV, first reign, Groat, London mint, light coinage (1464-1470), sub-class Vd, facing crowned bust in tressure with fleurs on cusps, quatrefoil of pellets either side of neck, initial mark rose both sides, rev long cross patteé, inscriptions in twin concentric circles, trefoil of pellets in each inner angle, additional pellet in one inner quarter, 2.97g (N 1568; S 2000). Toned, very fine with a pleasing portrait.
