BRITISH COINS, Edward IV, first reign, Groat, Bristol mint, light coinage (1464-1470), facing crowned bust in tressure with fleurs on cusps, B on breast, quatrefoil of pellets either side of neck, initial mark sun both sides, rev long cross patteé, inscriptions in twin concentric circles, trefoil of pellets in each inner angle, 3.21g (N 1580; S 2004). Uneven shape and darkly toned, a little scuffed both sides, about very fine.
