THAILAND. Three Piece Pattern Proof Set. ND (ca. 1876-1901).
cf.Y-32-34; cf.K&M-pl. F38. 3 pieces in set. VERY RARE. Includes: 1/8, 1/4 and 1 Baht. Pattern proof strikings for Y-32, 33 & 34 in silver. Similar to the normal issue; however, with closer examination they have a finer taller script in the legends and slight differences in the portrait of Rama V (which closer resemble the dated types of Y32a, 33a and 34a). This set may actually be patterns for the dated types that began in 1901 (Y-32a, 33a, & 34a). The 1/8 (PROOF-65) and 1 Baht (PROOF-62) pieces show similar mottled toning while the 1/4 Baht (PROOF-64) has a varied golden and metallic toning present. All have underlying luster, with some areas showing through. Sharp details. NGC PROOF-62, 64, & 65.
