CHINA--EMPIRE. Board of Revenue. 50 Taels, Yr. 4 (1854). P-A13b.
(S/M#H176-14) One of the more important offerings among this highly comprehensive Chinese banknote catalog, and a piece that will highlight any collection it enters. Only one of a scant few we have ever handled. The note is of a very large vertical format showing the common for the series bordering design. Dragons are seen at left, right and top with turbulent ocean below. Large square stamped seals positioned over denomination at lower center and also at left. Some typical for the type thinning and small hole at top center. Chopmarks are largely absent making this attractive and clean note quite the offering. PCGS Very Fine 20 Apparent. Stains, Minor Paper Thins, Mounting Remnants, Repairs.

Estimate: $15000.00- $25000.00
