ISLAMIC COMMEMORATIVE MEDALS, EGYPT, Fuad I (1868-1922-1936), Official Visit to Britain, Bronze Medal, by Percy Metcalf and Charles Leighfield Doman (reverse), 1927, uniformed bust left, wearing fez, rev conjoined busts of Egyptia and Britannia to left, in high relief, legend in exergual cartouche below, 72mm, in fitted case of issue (BHM 4211; Eimer 2007). Mint state.
The Mint Report (1931) reports 124 specimens struck in gold, silver and bronze and whilst it does not break this down further it must be assumed that the majority were in bronze.
