Anglo-Saxon, early Sceatta coinage, transitional issues by Thrymsa moneyers, c.675-c.760, Sceatta, 1.20g, Vanimundus type, type B, laureate bust right with holding sceptre, legend around, ota[..]avs, rev. cross potent within wreath, blundered inscription around (Abr Gp.II, No.10, p.45; Mack 85-7; SCBI 63 BM, No.41; N.12/1; S.774), a field find but very well preserved, good metal and a strong bust on this, nearly extremely fine, rare.
