Cnut (1016-35), Penny, 0.82g, quatrefoil type, Bristol, Wynsige, +cnvt rex anglorvm, crowned bust left of Winchester style within quatrefoil, rev. +pynsige on bric, long cross voided on quatrefoil with pellets at cusps (N.781; S.1157), some weakness and a little double-striking on periphery, pleasing deep tone and a particularly fine bust, generally good very fine, extremely rare with the Winchester obverse used at Bristol.
