Henry VI (first reign 1422-61) pinecone-mascle issue, 1431-32/3, Noble, 6.98g, London, m.m. lis, king, crowned, facing in ship with flag pole at stern, holding sword and shield, mascle after rex, pinecone stops, reads hiyb, rev. floriate cross arms extending from central panel containing letter h, crowned leopard in angles, lis by leopard in second quarter, pinecone stops, mascle after per, reads trancies (Schneider 321-25; Stewartby III, p.320; N.1457; S.1824), light double-striking to areas of obverse, more pronounced in lower legend, otherwise extensive lustre and plenty of appeal, nearly extremely fine and very rare.
