Roman Terracotta Lady. A Roman terracotta figure of a lady, c. 3rd Century AD, veiled, wearing a long gown, her hands grasping the voluminous folds. She wears a serene expression, her hair styled back in ridges, her necklace just visible above the top of her gown. H: 6 ½" (16.4 cm). Small area of 19th century restoration on the back, probably incorporating the air vent. Nice style and detail. Ex old English private collection.
