Augustus. 27 B.C.-A.D. 14 Æ quadrans (17.3 mm, 2.95 g, 1 h). Rome mint, Struck 5 B.C. Apronius, Galus, Messala, Sisenna, moneyers. Very Rare variety. SISENNA MESSALLA III VIR, garlanded altar / GALVS APRONIVS AAAFF, around S·C. RIC 448 var; CBN 779 var. VF, sandy green patina.

Note for RIC 447, p. 77: "CBN 777-8 lists as imitations two coins with AAAFF on Galus Apronius obv. and IIIvir on rev. with, respectively, Messalla Sisenna and Sisenna Messala. These do not look obviously imitative, and the transposition of AAAFF and IIIvir may be due to simple confusion in minting a thoroughly permuted series." It appears that this coin falls under the same category as described above.
