Judaea. Philistia. 5th-4th cent. BC. Obol, 0.54g (3h). Obv: Hybrid head joining bearded male head right and dog's head left. Rx: Owl standing right, head facing, olive sprig behind, ΔΘΕ (sic) retrograde before, all within incuse square. Gitler-Tal, Coinage of Philistia, pp. 200-1, XIV.22O (4 spec.). Probably from the same obverse die as their specimens a and b. Area of weak strike. Toned VF+
