ANCIENT COINS, GREEK COINS, Lucania, Thurium (c.350-300 BC), Silver Double Nomos, 15.2g. Head of Athena facing right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with Skylla, B behind neck guard. Rev. bull butting right, HPA above, two fish (off flan) in exergue (Noe N6; HN Italy 1858). A lovely example of exceptionally fine style, struck on a very broad flan, extremely fine. Rare.
