ANCIENT COINS, GREEK COINS, Lucania, Metapontum (c.340-330 BC), Silver Stater, 7.96g, 11h. Bearded head of Leukippos facing right, wearing a Corinthian helmet, a lion's head behind. Rev. META, ear of corn, a leaf on left upon which sits a vertical club,  below leaf (Johnston, Class B, 2.24; HN Italy 1575). Attractively toned, good very fine.
