WORLD COINS, CHILE Republic. Silver Essai Peso, 189- So, Santiago, 19.94g. By O Roty. Tasset. Seventh Condor type. Condor left on rocky peak, ESSAI in field at 4 o'clock. Rev. Large wreath, value and date within, last digit of date omitted. Reeded edge (WR -, cf 16; Elizondo -, cf type 17; KM -, cf 152.1). In NGC holder graded PR58, strike a little soft at the centre on the obverse, fine reflective to prooflike fields, the reverse with some hairlines, light medium gray toning in general, darker tone patch near the date. This specimen with the incomplete date appears to be unpublished, and may well be the only example known.
