WORLD COINS, INDIA, KUSHAN EMPIRE Kushano-Sasanian. Hormizd I (c. AD 265-295). Gold Dinar, 7.8g. Kabul. King, nimbate, standing facing, head left, sacrificing over altar and holding trident, flame at shoulder, filleted trident in left field, tamgha in right field, pellet above swastika between legs. Rev. Ithyphallic Siva standing facing, holding garland and trident, the bull Nandi standing left behind (Carter 26; Cribb 3; MK 707; NAP 1018). Extremely fine, well struck on both sides. Very scarce in such high grade.
