RUSSIAN ORDERS, ORDERS OF THE USSR, Researched Order of Lenin. Type 3. Award # 2908. Screwback with "мондвор" mintmark. Original silver nut. Comes with copies of official research from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, including award card, military records, and a nice photo of the recipient, wearing all his awards. Awarded to Guards Colonel Val'kov Aleksei Georgievich, by decree of May 25, 1936. Comrade Val'kov was a career officer, who started his service in 1920, fought in the Civil War against Wrangel', served throughout WWII, commanded Air Force Shturmovik Division, and occupied several other top positions in the Soviet Military Air Forces, before his retirement in 1953, as Colonel. Вальков Алексей Георгиевич – гв. полковник, участник боев против банд-формирований барона Врангеля (1920г.), во время Отечественной войны занимал позиции командира авиадивизии, зам. командующего ВВС 10-й армии, Зап. фронт. После войны нач. отдела боевой подготовки ВВС Киевского ВО. Уволен в запас в 1953г. Сканы учетной карточки награжденного, послужного списка и др. архивных документов прилагаются. Редкий орден Ленина, с двойной "пяткой" у основания винта, всего выпущено около 1000шт. таких знаков. Very Rare variation with double-tier screwpost base (only about a 1000 of them manufactured, out of all type 3 orders of Lenin). Condition: Miniscule enamel chips along the banner, excellent otherwise
