Head of Arethusa left with flowing hair bound with headband, three dolphins before, one dolphin behind; Reverse: Quadriga driving left, Nike above crowning driver, dolphin in exergue. Reverse struck on a slightly small planchet, with the far left horse off the flan. Nice toned obverse. The delicate flowing hair of the portrait displays the impressive artistry during this period of Syracusian minting. Nicely struck on planchet of sound metal. Nicely toned with golden highlights. BOLD VERY FINE.
