On Sir W Congreve's Bank-Note, Stamps. An extract letter to the editor from Ackermann's Repository of the Arts, Literature, Fashions....etc. Extract Pages from Bound Volume with Three Interleaved Plates. Very Fine.
June 1, 1822, Vol. XIII, No.LXXVIII. Octavo, pp. (345), 346-349, (350). Pages extracted from the annual bound volume. Letter to the editor in response to Congreve's work. Controversy over Congreve's and Perkins work continued on into 1822. Interleaved into the letter and a response are three plates. Uniface black and white One Pound Commercial Bank sample plate note, back design for the note with blue color bordering, and watermark style for the note. Very interesting trio of plates. Complements the Congreve sample notes in the prior lot well. First we have offered and fascinating to have the plates complete with the proper text extract.

Estimate: $500.00- $700.00
