A significant offering of this masterful design type showing in nearly a square format with large vignette of the Santa Maria at the lower left. Bold red under-printing repeats the bank name while the back shows the same detail but in green with compass at center. We sold another Gem example of this specimen as lot 68 in our August 2014 ANA sale which brought $4,406. PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.
