41 mm; 33.8 gms. Br-2188; MdP 51-E. By Drosz. Third bust of Napoleon right, name and title around; Reverse: Hercules (France) wrestles with a merman (England), legend "DESCENTE EN ANGLETERRE". Issued to commemorate the planned invasion of England, an event which never occurred. French confidence was so high that the dies were prepared with the inscription "FRAPPE LONDRES/ EN 1804". Plain edge original. Reflective deep mahogany surfaces. ALMOST UNCIRCULATED.
