GERMANY. Shooting Competition Prize Medal, 1905.
50 x 63 mm; 34.4 gms. Silver, gilt and enamels. Green enameled, four-armed, eight-pointed, green cross mounted on a gilt laurel wreath. On the cross, amid silver oak leaves are crossed rifles and a banner inscribed "EINHEIT GEMEINSIN/ VATERLANDSLEIBE", atop all this a central blue enameled medallion displays the date, 1905; Reverse: Blank except for fineness marking "800 SILBER" and the maker's name "HOH. ALOYS BRUUN", whose jewelry manufacturing firm was in Munster. Enamels show some chipping on the lower arm of the cross. Overall EXTREMELY FINE.
