73.5 mm; 147.52 gms. Eimer-1072; Bramsen-1736. Bust of Wellington in oval frame surmounted by an angel and radiant crown and supported by a palm laurel wreath, mantle below with inscription; Reverse: Equestrian figure of General Blucher, the horse stomping on the crotch of the bespectacled Davoust, the "Tyrant" of Hamburg. A small dejected figure of Napoleon is positioned under the tail of Blucher's horse. Housed in a contemporary round hinged case which is somewhat worn. The medal bears a gray pewter patina with silvery highlights in the protected areas. EXTREMELY FINE.
