KM-36; Cal-Type-222 #335. With assayer letter to left. Recovered from the wreck of the Santiago, a Portuguese trading carrack which sank between Madagascar and Mozambique August 12, 1585. Well struck on a round planchet and remarkably well preserved with full shield, cross and legends. Toned. EXTREMELY FINE.
