Zog I gold 100 Franga Ari 1938-R AU Details (Mount Removed) NGC, Rome mint, KM23. A nice example of this one-year type struck to commemorate the wedding of Zog to Countess Geraldine Apponyi on April 28, 1938. An impressive, large gold issue with faint wear throughout and surfaces indicative of an ex-jewelry piece; however, despite the details holder, this coin has virtually no visible edge damage from the mount removal.
