Republic Confederation gold 2 Escudos 1843-B AU55 PCGS, La Rioja mint, KM17. A lustrous and pleasing example, well struck and with the present handling marks within the confines of the designation. albeit not generally recognized as such, higher grade examples of this type are of equal or greater elusiveness as similar ones of the more famous 1842 type featuring dictator Rosas' bust. The present example remains one of the very few such appealing specimens publicly offered in the last few years. Very scarce and desirable in this preservation.
