French Guiana
Republic copper-zinc Proof Essai 10 Centimes 1887-E PR66 NGC, KM-XE1 (bronze), LeCompte-33 var. 10.13gm. A possible unique variety struck in copper-zinc that boasts incredibly pristine, gunmetal surfaces. An interesting pattern proclaiming the nation's independence; however French Guiana is actually an overseas department of France. With very little information known about this variety, and with no other examples found in this alloy, it seems to follow that this specimen is quite rare.
Estimate: 2000-2500 USD
