An impressive gold medal struck to commemorate the 300th birthday of the Margave (Türkenlouis) and the Peace of Rastatt (1714). Lovely design features show Margrave on horseback and a intricately detailed Schloss Rastatt. The edge lettering reads: Türkenlouis - Gedenkjahre Rastatt 1955 - 900 (fineness). Lightly handled with minor hairlines and a few surface abrasions. Scarce.
