Hohenlohe-Neu-Weikersheim. Karl Ludwig silver Specimen Pattern Taler 1752-PPW SP55 PCGS, KM-PN3. A superbly detailed example with aged, gunmetal patina and antiqued-gold tone that resides within the protected areas. As an off-metal strike, this Taler displays the obverse and reverse design from the gold 8 Ducat of this date which features the stylized portrait of Karl Ludwig and an inscription within an ornate frame, struck to commemorate the 50th year of reign. An extremely scarce and well-preserved example of this rare pattern Taler.
