COnO AR Є | PS TRЄVЄ, St. Peter seated on Gothic throne with scepter and key, the arms of Münzenberg and Saarwerden at his feet / + SΛCRI IMPERII : PERGΛLLΛRC, arms of Köln-Trier in hexilobe, trefoil pellets in angles. A superb specimen of this issue, perfectly centered and evenly struck. The surfaces are fully lustrous and lack distracting marks. This is certainly among the most visually appealing German Goldgulden we have seen from this period and, to date, the highest-graded example we have offered.
