Henry VI (First Reign, 1422-61) gold Noble 1422-c.1430 MS63 NGC, London mint, Annulet Issue, Lis mm, S-1799, North-1414. Crowned king with sword and shield standing facing in ship, an annulet by his sword arm / Floriate cross with h in central quadrilobe, an annulet in one spandrel. A beautiful example, fully lustrous with minimal weakness of strike. The bulk of Henry's gold mintage came in the first couple of years of his reign due to gold shortages that became critical around 1426. The likely range for the production of this piece was 1422-23. Scarce in most grades, examples such as this are rare.
