Great Britain
Edward IV (1st Reign 1461-70) gold Ryal 1466-67 MS62 NGC, London mint, Crown mm, Light Coinage of 1464-70, S-1950, North-1549. Edward standing facing in ship, holding sword and shield; Є on banner at stern, rose on hull / Rose in radiant sun over floriate cross, crowns and lions in angles; large trefoils in spandrels. Attributing this example as S-1950 based upon the large trefoils in the reverse spandrels rather than S-1951 as NGC did would place its minting in 1466-67 rather than 1467-68. It is evenly struck on a generous flan and retains substantial residual mint luster. Very appealing.

Estimate: 5000-6000 USD
