Edward IV (1st Reign 1461-70) gold Ryal 1465-66 AU50 PCGS, London mint, Sun mm, Light Coinage of 1464-70, S-1950, North-1549. Edward standing facing in ship, holding sword and shield; Є on banner at stern, rose on hull / Rose in radiant sun over floriate cross, crowns and lions in angles; large trefoils in spandrels. A moderately-struck piece on a full flan. This example is a bit unusual in that it has the sun mintmark on both the obverse and reverse. The reverse mintmark is very soft, almost appearing to be a rose, explaining the PCGS dating of the coin to 1464-65.
