Henry VIII (1544-47) Testoon VF30 NGC, Bristol mint, S-2368, N-1843. Choice for this very rare Bristol mint issue with pleasing olive-brown color and a strike that is far more bold than is often-times encountered, the bust of Henry showing nearly 3/4 of its intended detail with the reverse rose and mint title remaining essentially full. We were able to locate only two examples from this mint selling in the past 12 years, with the most-similar example hammering for £800 in a 2003 DNW auction.
