Great Britain
James I gold 1/4 Laurel ND (1619-24) MS63 NGC, S-2646, Fr-244. Third Coinage, Thistle mm. Stunning, with bright luster and many sharp details in the portrait, although the face itself is somewhat soft. The flan is slightly ragged and despite missing portions of legends, the reverse shield, crown and inner beaded circle are quite crisp. A lustrous example, wholly pleasing, especially in this deluxe quality.
