Charles II copper Error Proof Pattern 1/2 Penny ND (1670) PR35 NGC, Royal mint, Peck-404. Off-Center Error - Struck 15% Off. Highly unusual, and thus highly desirable, with the strike on this issue having shifted up and to the left. Even more curious, this pattern actually appears to have spent a moderate amount of time in circulation (perhaps as a pocket piece?), with evident highpoint friction, but few troublesome marks. Attractive bluish tone has nestled into the protected devices, and adds a touch of pleasing character to the surfaces.
