William & Mary Crown 1692 MS61 NGC, S-3433, ESC-83. QVARTO edge. Bright luster, pleasingly mark-free portraits, slight bit of softness of strike at 12 o'clock on each side, but generally this coin is nice and sharp in its details, finer than most seen. A series of horizontal diebreaks in the first quadrant of the reverse shield. This coin grows on you, the more you study it. Rare! The 2011 SCBC value is £4,500 in EF with no higher price given because that is the best grade generally available. Pricing this excellent crown at that, the value is about $7200.
