Great Britain
George III bronzed Proof Restrike Penny 1797 PR64 Brown NGC, Peck-1136. A sublime example with classic, chestnut-brown tone and fully-rendered features. The surfaces exhibit a substantial amount of reflectivity, as well as a few darkened toning spots. As noted in Peck, this restrike was struck with rusted dies with the entire figure of Britannia as well as the broad rim displaying thickly-encrusted rust marks. Also common to this variety is the line-flaw through the 9 in the date. A tremendous representative of this bronzed issue that is well-deserving of immediate attention.
