Great Britain
George III Bank Dollar of 5 Shillings 1804 MS64 NGC, KM-Tn1, ESC-164. A spectacular example of this classic type with all-over lustrous surfaces that glisten with champagne tone. The devices are noteworthy, featuring fully-struck detail with particular attention drawn to the illustrative design of the seated Britannia. Remnants of the Spanish under-type remain visible, particularly on the reverse near the date. A highly interesting specimen, nearly gem, and with plenty of appeal.
