The hero Thessalos, nude but for petasos, hanging from neck, and himation flying behind, grasping head of bull leaping right / ΛA-PIΣAI, bridled horse leaping right, trailing reins. Lorber, Thessalian, pl. 42, 46 (same dies). Herrmann Group IIIF, pl. III, 2. A superb rendering by a masterful engraver, displaying the full vigor of the struggle between man and beast!
