Head of nymph Larissa facing slightly left, wearing ampyx, pendent earring, and plain necklace / ΛΑΡΙΣ above, ΑΙΩΝ below; horse kneeling right, preparing to roll. Lorber, Hoard, Group L-III. BCD Thessaly II 319. A gem-like masterpiece, perfectly centered on a round flan and struck from dies of exquisite style. Superb metal quality. A simply unimproveable specimen.
