Barred IC - XC, Christ Pantocrator enthroned facing on backless throne, with cruciform nimbus, raising right hand in benediction, holding book of Gospels cradled in left arm / + NIKHΦ ΔΕC Tω ROTANIAT, full figure of of Nicephorus standing facing, wearing crown and loros, holding jeweled vexillum with X on shaft in right hand and globus cruciger in left. Sear 1881. DOC 3. A superb specimen, exceptionally well struck on an immense flan. Perhaps the best example of its type we have seen! NGC MS 4/5 - 5/5.
