Papal States. Pius IX gold 10 Scudi 1850-R Anno IV MS62 NGC, KM1125, Fr-270. A brilliant specimen with classic, honey-gold tone and wholly lustrous fields. Due to a bold strike, the devices are fully-raised and somewhat frosty in appearance. Minor surface abrasions are present, however not uncommon to the issue. Even so, a coin of this select quality is rarely encountered in the marketplace and at present time, this is the only certified example of this date.From The Alexander Collection
