Parma. Fernando di Borbone gold Doppia 1792-S MS61 NGC, KM-C18a, Fr-930. An alluring specimen with bright, honey-gold surfaces that hold areas of lustrous russet tone. The detail is superb, and despite some minor handling and a few hairlines, this piece delivers a fully-bold strike that is noticeable from all angles, particulary on the bust of Fernando. An elusive type, especially in mint-state, with tremendous eye-appeal. Rare as such. From The Alexander Collection
