Rimini. Isotta degli Atti Renaissance bronze Medal 1446, Kress-59, Hill-167, Pollard-31, Arm I, 21/20. By Matteo di Andrea de Pasti. 82mm. 179.52gm. A massive bronze medal featuring the bust of Isotta degli Atti, the mistress and then wife of the Lord of Rimini, Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta. The reverse presents a large, walking elephant among flowers. Dated 1446, but as is typical, a later cast. Fine quality, and with brown patina. Minor edge transverse file marks. VF.Ex.
